Neo Tokyo was a project inspired by the neon lights and store fronts in Tokyo and other Japanese cities. This project was created as a midterm for an animation class. Lighting in a 3D environment interests me so I decided to create a scene where I could learn a lot about lighting. I also used it as an opportunity to learn a few other concepts that were new to me in Maya at the time, such as texturing posters and creating organic shapes. Assets, billboards, graphic design elements, textures, and lighting were my main focuses to make this project come to life.
